Leadership/Volunteer Experience

Riley Institute Advance Team, April 2014-Present

  • Work closely with Political Science faculty and Riley Institute staff to execute a variety of events and programs as well as host Riley Institute guests

  • Serve as an ambassador for Furman and the Riley Institute as they interact with local, national, and international leaders

  • Serve as hosts for the annual Wilkins Legislative Award Dinner, an occassion attended by most members of the SC Legislature as well as many citizens from across South Carolina

  • Assist as counselors for Emerging Public Leaders, a program for rising high school seniors

  • Meet together regularly to prepare for events and present/discuss policy issues

 

Heller Service Corps, August 2011-Present

  • Help to plan community service events on campus and match students with volunteer opportunities in the Greenville community
